We are pleased to welcome you to UK Albanian Muslim Community and Cultural Centre based in Queens Park within the London Borough of Brent and within the borders of Camden and Westminster.
UK Albanian Muslim Community & Cultural Centre, formerly known as “Kosova Islamic Centre U.K. Ltd” was founded and established in 1994 in London by Zymer Salihi, H.A. Khalid, Syed Mohammad Tanzeem Wasti, and Bahri Bojaj, this was to fulfil the Community’s religious, educational, social and cultural needs following the conflict in the Balkans and the genocide in Kosova.
Regular programs include weekend religious classes, and also the Friday weekly lecture is open to all the family with a diverse range of speakers and topics.
UKAMC & Cultural Centre is open for all of the five daily prayers. During the daytime the main prayer hall can be used for reading and quiet contemplation. During busy times like Fridays this centre can accommodate over 500 people, including space dedicated just for women with direct video and audio connection
We believe that family life is indeed the building block of a successful society, and marriage is the key to a successful and fruitful family life, and upon request we can facilitate the solemnisation of marriage ceremony.
Our Centre and Imam would facilitate and conduct funeral services for the Albanian speaking community.
Religious Advice & Counselling
Members of the Albanian speaking and generally Muslims turn to the centre for help and advice in all matters of their day–to–day life, and an appointment is required to meet the Imam for any counseling or any other religious concerns of the community such as bereavement, cultural challenges, generational issues and matrimonial problems.
We distribute books, Kur’an, prayer timetable, and other literature about Islam, this being in Albanian language.
